Kevin Young has 20 years of experience in the IT industry, 15 of which have been in the Technology-Based Training sector. Kevin joined SkillSoft in 1999 to set up and run SkillSoft EMEA which markets and sells SkillSoft products and services to customers outside the US and Asia Pacific. During his time in SkillSoft EMEA, Kevin has overseen the merger of SkillSoft and SmartForce and has led SkillSoft EMEA to be the recognised industry leading e-learning supplier in the region.

Before joining SkillSoft Kevin headed up the UK sales operations of CBT Systems (which latterly became SmartForce) during a period of significant growth. Between 1990 and 1998 Kevin held a series of sales/senior management positions with NETg International. He established the UK Strategic Account Group in 1995, and was directly involved in signing the largest ever UK technology based training agreement, valued at some $10M over 5 years.

From 1997 - 1998 Kevin was based in Australia, tasked with setting up NETg's AsiaPacific/Japanese operations. With a small team he grew the revenue base significantly, through the effective application of a direct and channel-based sales operation.
